This is the story of ParshuramPur, a village ruled by the powerful landlady Bhadra Devi and her two sons. After the girl's birth, the landlord family visits her home and presents her with a ODHANI. When the girl comes of age, a ceremony is held to remove it. On this day, the girl’s family is given money and goods by the landlords, symbolizing a transactional agreement—a "deal"—where the girl is treated as an object and sold off symbolically. Our protagonist, Jyoti, stands firmly against this cruel tradition. She dreams of breaking this oppressive ritual and freeing the girls of her village from this exploitation. However, fate plays a cruel irony when Jyoti herself becomes a victim of this very tradition. Will Jyoti succeed in her fight? Will she be able to break this inhumane tradition and bring justice to the girls of her village? This story is a tale of courage, truth, and an unyielding fight against societal injustice.
